By Kristin Richardson Jordan

Though some seem to still be asleep
And the police claim they have nothing to hide
Not all of us are (color)blind
We see the lies behind this “suicide”
Believe the stories family and friends tell
We get the way this works all to well
Recognize these stations where violence and lies dwell
We know Sandra didn’t hang herself inside that cell
