Affirmation 48

Some of the recent public suicides (not that suicide is new or by any means limited to the rich and famous) have me thinking about the power of thoughts and words and recommitting to my work on affirmations. For me personally affirmations have helped me stay optimistic at some of my toughest moments in addition to staying hopeful about the future while in our current political context, which is enough to make anyone depressed. I am not completely sure how resilience is built, except to say that I am sure it has to do with understanding that our thoughts are the building blocks to change.

“We cannot change anything if we cannot change our thinking” – Santosh Kalwar

Today’s affirmation: I have a brilliant mind.
