At every turn our world fails to protect Black women as the interpersonal violence of DV is often compounded by the state, but we keep us safe. Here are some things we can do:
Teach safe and healthy relationship skills
Improve school climate and safety
Strengthen economic supports for families.
Modify the physical and social environments of neighborhoods
Listen to survivors and support victim-centered services treatment and restorative justice models.
